Capacity building workshops for students
In rural India, there are a considerable number of dropouts among students just after completing the 10th standard. Samatva Trust co-sponsored the workshops aimed at building students' capacity and preventing dropouts. The symposium was also focused on addressing some of the financial constraints and lack of awareness among students. There were more than 150 remote rural students who participated in these workshops. Resource persons were invited to discuss students’ problems, explain methods of preparation for examinations, and give inspirational talks from educational experts. This was covered in a local daily as prominent news (see below).
