As a part of our continuous efforts to bring education to every child in the village, Samatva started a school in a tribal village called Monakai, which is situated inside the forest near Chamarajanagara, Mysore district and had no school facility. There are 25 families in this village and 20 children ranging from 3-14 years of age. None of them have attended any school so far. Their village lacked any means of educational facility. Samatva's secretary, Dr. Siddappa Setty identified this village and took necessary steps to start a school in February 2007. Twenty children first time started learning in this village. They got a glimpse of learning regional language, Kannada, its alphabets as shown in the picture.
